Food Vendor Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

If you are preparing, serving, or selling food at the event, you may be required to obtain a Temporary Food Service Permit through Chatham County Environmental Health.

Permit requirements vary based on the type of food operation, including:

• Food Trucks
• Tent Vendors
• Caterers
• On-site Food Preparation
• Open Flame Cooking
• Pre-Packaged Food Vendors

Each vendor is responsible for determining and obtaining any permits required for their specific operation.

• In person at the Health Department
• Through the Chatham County Payment Portal

Food trucks are not required. Vendors operating from tents, booths, grills, smokers, or other temporary food setups may participate provided they meet all applicable Health Department requirements and obtain any necessary permits.

Requirements may differ for pre-packaged food vendors.

Food vendors are responsible for obtaining a Business Tax Certificate through the City of Savannah Revenue Department if required for their operation.

Once your vendor fee is received:

✓ Your vendor space is reserved

✓ Your registration is confirmed

✓ You will receive event setup instructions

✓ You will receive arrival and parking information

✓ Food vendor information will be submitted as required for event planning purposes

✓ Additional event details will be distributed closer to the event date

 Vendor setup information, arrival times, parking instructions, and event-day logistics will be provided to all confirmed vendors prior to the event.
